Algeria secures some new railway lines.
Projects are underway everywhere ; Under modernization algerien raiway.

A total of 1,116 km of railways is currently under development as part of the system's densification and modernization program.

A first train, venturing up to 143 km / h, left the new Moulay Slissen station towards the city of Saida for a period of 50 minutes. In general, it takes at least two hours to conduct this course, according to the complaints of the Anesrif specialists in the district.

The recognition of this line required the development of three kilometers of design structures comprising 19 viaducts and 202 scuppers, as indicated by Benrabia Abdechafia, head of the Moulay Slissen - Saida company.

"Some structures have a direct length of 350 meters and a stature of 38 meters. Regarding the measurement of earthworks, we arrived at 22 million m³, given that part of the territory was unbalanced".

Oran - Saida in less than three hours

The line will also link Oran to Saida in more than two hours. At that time he will be reaching out to M'sila, in the center of the nation, passing through some wilayas in the Highlands, in particular Tiaret and Tissemsilt.

"From Tébessa to M'sila, the line is now active for 412 kilometers. From M'sila to Sidi Bel Abbès, the line is being developed over 750 kilometers", discovers the manager of Anesrif.

A blended traffic line

It is a blended traffic line which will permit the vehicle of travelers and merchandise. Trains can run at a speed of up to 160 km / h for traveler trains and 100 km / h for cargo.
